• As you can imagine, and like I said earlier, my life got pretty complicated from that weekend onwards. And it had already been pretty complicated, as it was. I had a wife and kids, and now I had not one, but two mistresses. One of whom happened to be my teenage daughter. So, actually, complicated, is kind of putting it mildly.
• I was still fucking Sarah, of course. I saw no need to bring that fun to an end. She was always ready, willing and eager; and I was always so goddamn horny. I'm actually kind of impressed with my sexual prowess, even if I say so myself. I mean, here I was, approaching forty, and I was banging three women (albeit, not that much with Jo), two of which were young enough to be my daughter. One of which actually was my daughter.
• There was guilt, of course, plenty of guilt. You can't live the kind of life I was living and not feel a little unease. In a way I felt more guilty about screwing my secretary. That was ordinary, mundane, common or garden adultery. I should have felt more guilty about what I was doing with Lucy. That wasn't just adultery, that was incest. That was illegal. And yet, it never felt wrong when we were together. There was something special about our love. Something right. I don't think that defence would stand up in court, if we were ever found out, but it'll have to do.
